(AllHipHop News) Cardi B has routinely talked about how she is a big fan of presidential history. She even named Franklin D. Roosevelt as her favorite Commander-In-Chief.
During an interview on SiriusXM's Major Behavior with The Fat Jewish show, Cardi talked about the current resident in the White House. The Invasion of Privacy album creator made the connection between 1930s/1940s geopolitics to present day.
"I really love reading about the Holocaust. I just can't believe that happened," said the Bronx rapper. "I like to study it. All I watch is documentaries of it, all I watch is movies of it."
Cardi added, "I could not believe a man [Adolf Hitler] took over so many people's minds. That's why if you don't go to school, you wouldn't really understand. When Trump was running for president, I almost panicked because you always hear history repeats itself. I was thinking to myself: Can that happen? Can we go back to the 30s and 40s? Can that happen again? Because [Trump] is really getting into people's head?"
Last week, Cardi B got into an online feud with Azealia Banks, an early supporter of Donald Trump. Banks had publicly expressed she “sort of” agreed with then-candidate Trump's controversial immigration policies and later slammed Rihanna for disagreeing with Trump's executive order banning citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States.
Cardi, whose mother is from Trinidad & Tobago and whose father is from the Dominican Republic, has been critical of Trump for a while. The 25-year-old internet celebrity called out the president over his response to the hurricane aftermath in Puerto Rico as well as him reportedly calling African nations "sh-thole" countries.
